December companion correction:

Under cutting instructions for Fabric #6. The instructions SHOULD read:

Fabric #6: (D6) 2 – 2 3/8″ x 2 3/8″ (Cut on the diagonal once – Yield 4 triangles)
(E6) Correct
(F6) 2 – 1 5/8″ x 1 5/8″ (Cut on the diagonal once – Yield 4 triangles)
(G6) Correct
(H6) 4 – 7/8″ x 7/8″ square

Alternative layout for December Freebie:

If you like this layout of December freebie do not subcut your 1″ strips from each fabric. You will have to measure as you go. Reference the picture for Fabric placements.
1. Begin with the first square block, measure the appropriate side and cut a 1″ strip to match.
2. Measure the adjacent side and cut a 1″ strip in the correct fabric.
3. Continue building around the square, measuring each side as you go.
4. Continue until there are 10 strips on each side (5 of each alternating fabric)

For those of you who embrace our long winter, how great are these fabrics for a winter comfy quilt. This is a remake of the You Tube 1600 video that you can check out here. For a rag quilt we cut strips 3.25″ and used 1/2″ inch seams. Then we quilted, cut, and washed for an awesome rag look! It is a one day project – 6 hrs start to finish.
